CHIPWOOD - ORANGE, CA

The project at Chipwood was the very first project we completed together in a formal capacity, making it especially meaningful. The home was located in a great neighborhood and featured a beautiful open family room, but it also came with several design challenges. Originally, the storybook-style roof covered the entry and caused the home to turn inward rather than fully address the street. The layout needed reworking, and the backyard was limited due to the inclined hill behind the property. We reconfigured the interior spaces to create a more logical and open flow throughout the home. The kitchen island became the heart of the space, allowing the kitchen, dining, living, and family rooms to flow together seamlessly. Each area remained distinct while still feeling connected and complementary. By maximizing the backyard for play and gardening and opening up the front entry for dramatic curb appeal, Chipwood was transformed into a modern beauty.
